Abstract EN
Introduction: Our goal is to evaluate its interest in the coverage of palmar and / or distal skin defects of the long fingers and the hand.
Patients and Methods: A retrospective descriptive study conducted between August 2014 and March 2016 on patients who underwent reconstruction with a DMPF.
Results: The DMPF used to cover eight long fingers in seven patients, including three indexes, three middle fingers, one ring finger, and one little finger.
Eight flaps intended to cover palmar skin defects of the long fingers and the hand.
The juncture tendinosum was cut in six cases and the dorsal metacarpal artery (DMA) was ligated in four cases.
The arc of rotation of the DMPF was able to reach the distal interphalangeal dorsal surface in one case and the palmar surface of the distal half of the second phalanx in three cases.
Conclusion: The juncture-tendinosum section and / or the AMD ligation, and / or the modification of its form can amplify its rotation arc.
