The research aims at conducting a historical analytical study to identify the history of Sebastia in the Frankish era.

It included the importance of the geographical location of Sabastia, its different names throughout history, its administrative subordination, and the feudal families that rotated over the rule of Sebastia.

And its role in presenting the Sarangandi of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and the role of the knights templard ( Darwiya) in the protection of new settlers and Muslim prisoners in the town.

The study also mentioned the type of agricultural land classification and the quality of crops and trees that it was famous for.

The study also mentions the cathedral, which was transformed after the defeat of the Franks in the east to a mosque.
