The aim of this research is to uncover the phenomenon of substitution in the poetry of the Umayyad era, to stand on the most prominent political and social circumstances that called for the poet to resort to his hand, and the approach is converging in his ambition with the pilgrims in that both bet on the power of persuasion to achieve the effect of the effect on the recipient.
