Abstract EN
The study aimed to identify the impact of self development activities on employees’ performance in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Gaza strip.
The analytical descriptive approach was adopted through distributing a questionnaire using the stratified random sampling method.
The results showed that self-development activities are available but not strong as there was weakness in the ministry interest and role in providing training activities, practicing job rotation, working on career development plans, in addition to other requirements of self development.
Also, it was found that there is a relation between self development activities and employees’ performance level.
As well as the presence of a positive and strong significant impact of self-development activities on the level of performance of employees at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Gaza Strip The study recommended enhancing employees’ participation in planning their career development opportunities, as well as, participating in planning training programs to enhance the benefit of these activities.
As well as, the importance of developing a written system to benefit from the job rotation process.
Moreover, implement awareness and orientation programs for employees to clarify the importance and objectives of the concept of self development.
Also, it is recommended to provide the necessary means, mechanisms, and tools to support self development activities, and encourage employees to utilize these programs to improve their performance level
