Abstract EN

This study tackles the woman retention against her husband in Islamic Fiqih and the Jordanian law of personal affairs in 1976.

Through defining it and showing its legitimacy and whether it’s related to husband’s or wife’s right.

In this study, I followed the inductive research considering the rationale of retention in the Islamic and Jordanian laws.

The study aims to reconsidering the legislations highlighting this right, spreading and executing it.

All of this is to protect the marriage contract, establishing justice between couples and keeping people from doing evils and sins.
