This study aims to explore Competency standards for evaluation school counselor in basic education, from the point of view of school principals in Khartoum state, the researcher used the descriptive approach, a questionnaire had been used during the academic year 2014-2015, and after making sure of the reliability and validity questionnaire, and the Alpha Cranach's coefficient factor, was presented to the Education and Psychology experts in different Sudanese universities.

The researcher applying the questionnaire to a randomly sample of 20 school principals, in basic education in Khartoum state, Bahri province, and data processing and analysis of the sample responses researcher used (SPSS), There is statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample and standards of quality efficiencies of the school counselor.

There are statistically significant differences between the implementation of the guidance process and quality standards efficiencies of the school counselor, attributed to qualified academic and experience and specialized training for principles, and The study came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is: the need to develop an integrated structure and a clear functional description of the role of the educational counselor, and the process of educational guidance, based on the academic procedures of higher education, the need of the sections of educational psychology in the quality models and procedures to control and follow up the implementation of strategic plans for the tasks of the school leader Evaluation, and development, suitable number of educational guides for the number of learners and the creation of the guiding environment.
