Unemployment is one of the major problems of most countries in the world because of its economic and social consequences.
Several economic schools have tried to explain the phenomenon of unemployment and give treatment.
This study presents an econometric model aimed at identifying and analyzing unemployment rates in Algeria during the period (2000 - 2016).
For this purpose, the study is divided into three sections.
The first section is concerned with clarifying the different notions of unemployment and the major explanatory theories of unemployment.
The second section aims to analyze the data of the Variables used in the study.
Finally, the third section is devoted to the quantitative study.
