The aim of this study is to highlight the impact of financial liberalization on economic growth in a sample of 50 countries in the MENA region from 1990 to 2015, using panel data and based on five economic variables: growth in per capita GDP as a dependent variable and The money supply index, loans to the private sector, inflation rate, foreign direct investment as explanatory variables.
The study found that the financial variables used in the study had a significant effect on the rate of growth in per capita gross domestic product.
This effect was positive for the money supply index and negative for the loans granted to the private sector.
