Abstract EN

The research was conducted to estimate the antibody titer against Neweastle Disease (ND), Infections Bursal Disease(IBD) and Infections Bronchitis (IB) as well as estimation of gastro intestinal pH, total bacterial count and Escherichia coli( E.coli) count in the intestines of broilers fed on rations contained different levels of organic acid (O.A.) blend.

A total number of 300 one day old chick (Ross 308) were used in the experiment.

Those chicks were allotted randomly on 5 equal treatments, each treatment included 60 chicks and each treatment contained 3 replicates (20 chick/replicate) and each treatment distributed on 3 equal replicates, The study was conducted from 19/4/2015 to 31/5/2015.

Chick fed on rations supplemented with different O.A.

blend so that T1: control.

T2: 0.5% O.A., T3:1.0% O.A., T4: 1.5% O.A.

and T5: 2.0% O.A.

Results illustrated a highly significant elevation (p˂0.01) of antibody titer against ND and IBD at 35 day of broiler age.

Moreover, a highly significant reduction (p˂0.01) of crop and gizzard pH as well as a significant reduction (p˂0.05) of duodenal pH with highly significant reduction (p˂0.01) of total bacterial count and E.Coli count in the intestine of broilers at 42 day of age.

It was concluded that supplementation of organic acid blend to the ration ameliorated the immune response as well as reduction of total bacterial count and E.coli in the intestines of broiler.
