Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to investigate effect of writing processes approach on improving essay writing skills among first secondary female students at science field in Jordan.

The researchers developed an essay test to measure essay writing skills.

The study was administrated on (77) female students in two schools selected purposefully, distributed into two groups: an experimental group consisted of (38) students, was taught through the writing processes approach, and a control group consisted of (39) students.

The findings of the study showed that there are significant statistical differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between the means of participants performance on each essay writing skills and as a whole attributed to the teaching method in favor of the experimental group.
