Abstract EN

This study aimed to examine the soft skills role in job hunting processes _applied study about the academic positions in Gaza Strip_ through understanding the most important soft skills needed and required for the academic jobs in Gaza Strip , In order to achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher collected data from its various sources, The study has adopted the descriptive analytical method and a questionnaire as a key tool to obtain the required information, The population of this study consists of employees who has administrative jobs in the governmental sectors, The size of the targeted population is (203) The results of the study confirmed that all of the systems (networking, , strategic thinking, self-presentation,) respectively affect the job hunting process at statistical significance level (0.05), also the study shows that there is no a statistical significant relationship between the dependent variable (job hunting) and each of the independent variables (networking, strategic thinking, self-presentation,).

The study came out with several recommendations: The jobs seekers should work on developing their soft skills in order to improve their chances to win a job especially in the field of academic positions, also for the ones who already have administrative jobs they should work on their soft skills and develop it in order to maintain their jobs or to get better ones .

The Job seekers should always search about job vacancies and to apply for the positions which meet their skills, in addition they should learn from each experience they face even when they did not get the job so they will not repeat the same mistakes and they will increase their chances in getting a job,
