This paper discusses the signifcance of the story of Sabbath breakers narrated in the Holy Quran as a clear example of manifest truth that characterizes this story and indeed all other stories in the Quran.

It elucidates the story, analyses the verses in which it is narrated, highlights the major issues it encompasses and examines the views of various Muslim exegetes on it.

In addition, the paper discusses the doctrinal and ethical implications drawn from the story.

The study is structured on an introduction followed by two main sections and a conclusion.

The morality of the story of Sabbath breakers is that enjoining good deeds and forbidding evil deeds are the only means for salvation from the punishment of Allah.

Besides, malicious tricks and ill deeds always backfre on those who commit them.
