Le tourisme durable entre la dimension théorique et la réalité pratique : cas de la norvège

The tourism sector is expanding rapidly.

However, research has shown that mass tourism has a negative impact on the natural and cultural heritage and the social values of local populations.

Sustainable tourism constitutes in this context one of the means to address these negative impacts, and Norway represents one of the pioneers in this field.

The purpose of this article is to review the key concepts of tourism, then to analyse the policies and strategies put in place by Norway in order to develop its tourism industry while preserving its natural and cultural heritage.
