Abstract EN

The present study aims to find the relationship between study satisfaction and cognitive motive among gifted and non-gifted pupils in the second year of secondary school, to recognise their level of study satisfaction and their level of cognitive motive .and also to study the differences between gifted and non-gifted pupils at the study satisfaction and cognitive motive according to the variable of gender.

the sample consisted of basic study of 530 pupils, number of them like gifted in achievement have (256), so that males contains (128) and female (128), and non-gifted pupils contains (274) so that the number of males (147) and female (127), the individual sample are studying in high schools belonging to the directorate education for the state of Algeria and the middle, east and the west, and the sample was selected cluster and deliberate manner.

the researcher used in this study two measurements one is study of satisfaction and other is a cognitive motive which are prepared the researcher.

the study found a set of results as the following : 1.

there is a positive medium correlation between study satisfaction and cognitive motive among the gifted and non-gifted pupils.

2.

the gifted and non-gifted students have a higher level of study satisfaction 3.

the gifted and non-gifted students have a higher level of cognitive motive.

4.

there are differences to gifted pupils in their study satisfaction according to the variable of gender, and there are no differences to non-gifted pupils in their study satisfaction according to the variable of gender.

5.

there are differences to gifted pupils in their cognitive motive according to the variable of gender, and there are no differences to non-gifted pupils in their cognitive motive according to the variable of gender.
