A reading in the memory of the Egyptian narration is a reading that realizes from the first moment the fact of being an interpretation.

It is beyond being just "a presentation and a summary".

It is also beyond being a "direct reception" and it does not try to make this reception with the greatest degree of "honesty".

This reading represents Naguib Mahfouz’s narration from the same perspective he adopts which makes from it a spitting image to the read text.

The reading in the memory of the Egyptian narration: Naguib Mahfouz as an example contributes consciously in producing the view contained in the author narrative discourse explicitly or implicitly and reconstructing it in a way that makes it more coherent and stronger.

Najib Mahfouz's narrative accompanied different ways of narratives, and it expressed itself in several forms, confirming its presence in both Egyptian and Arab narrative scenes.

However, it did not get rid of Mahfouz’s narrative style because of the properties that characterizes this style and its elements.

Those properties and elements are the topic we chose to study.
