The competency approach is one of the educational curricula adopted by the Algerian Ministry of Education since 2004, as a pedagogical choice aimed at improving the learner, in the sense that this approach is based on an integrated system knowledge, experience, organizational skills and performance, which allow the learner within a learning/learning position to accomplish the task that، this situation requires in general.

This research seeks to identify the basic concepts of approach to competencies, objectives and principles, as well as the reasons for their choice in the Algerian educational system, and their teaching requirements
