This research paper addresses the problematic of paralysis within the frame of arab poetry of the preislamic period, as termed and coined by Abdul Malik Murtad as the poetry of the Alexandrian Pleiad/Alexandrian poets.
The research takes on a revisionist form of the pendant poems from a semiotic and anthropological perspective.
It also attemps at deciphering the basic rules of the construction of the pendant poems along with measuring the extent of this semiotic and anthropological perspective in the construction of these Pleiad poems against the formal theory of the formation of these poems as being deconstructive in their nature
