Ib Ma'in is considered as one of the Imams of al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil (evaluation of hadith narrators), whose view about the criticism of hadith narrators, on some occasions he uses the (laysa bishay'), and scholars differed about the meaning of such term as if it means scarcity of the narrations, or the weakness of the narrator, therefore, this study presents the meaning of the term in question in a comparative way with the views of other scholars, the study reached the conclusion that this term means the weakness of narrator whose status should be investigated
