Abstract EN

The research aims to show the extent of verification of ignorance in a letter of bank guarantee, through the form letter of guarantee issued by the Jordanian Islamic Bank that is applied as a case study.

The research shows the concept of both ignorance and guarantee, and the nature of the letter of guarantee and it's adapted idiosyncratic, then it discusses Fiqh views about ignorance that can affect a guarantee contract, then check the ignorance in letter of guarantee.

The research concluded that the uncovered letter of guarantee was considered a guarantee, and this proved to be the practice of the Jordanian Islamic Bank in documenting the form of the letter issued by it.

It also shows that the letter of guarantee is void of ignorance in all its forms, and that the bank is committed to the essence of the shar'i rulings regarding the lack of ignorance in the letter of guarantee issued by it.
