Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the nature of the basic school teachers' thinking which includes students with learning disabilities in Amman city.

The researcher used qualitative research method for the data collection and analysis through triangulation; interview, observation and the researcher's field notes.

The sample of the study was six teachers (3 Males and 3 Females).

The results revealed that the teachers' thinking during the teaching process focused on their knowledge of students individually, not based on the classification and categorizing of students with learning difficulties.

These results have practical implications for teaching and learning strategies of students with learning disabilities in the regular classroom as well as during teachers' preparation process.

In particular, the need to focus on the importance of in-depth knowledge of students' characteristics and individually be more important than the differences between them as one of the strongest sources by which to develop effective teaching strategies for basic schools that include or integrate students with learning disabilities.
