Abstract EN

This is one of the treatises of one of the famous imams: Shaykh al-Islam Aboo al-Abbaas Ahmad ibn Abdul-Halim ibn Taymiyyah al-Harraani (rahimahullaah) which have never been printed before, to the be& of my knowledge.

It included a &udy related to one of the greater acts of worship: Salaah (prayer).

As Salaah has many descriptions; like Qiyaam (landing), Rukoo' (bowing) and Sujood (pro&ration), the theme of our treatise is related to the words said by the person performing Salaah after Rukoo': Sami'aAllaahu liman hamidah, Rabbanaa wa-lakaal-Hamd (Allaah hears those who praise Him.

Our Lord, all praise is due to You).

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) mentioned that the majority of scholars are of the opinion that the Imam (leader of congregational prayer) both yusammi' (says: Sami'aAllaahu liman hamdah) and yuhammid (says: Rabbanaa wa-laka al-hamd), and mentioned the evidence of this &atement and clarified its superiority.

Then, he followed by mentioning the different opinions of scholars in Tasmee' and Tahmeed after Rukoo'.

Some assigned both of them to the Imam, Ma'moom (the one who follows the imaam in congregational prayer), and Munfarid (the one who prays alone).

Some differentiated, that Munfarid only yusammi' and Ma'moom only yuhammid.

Some went to the opinion that what is legislated for the Ma'moom is Tahmeed only without the re& of the supplication.

And some of them said that Ma'moom only yuhammid and completes the supplication.

Shaykh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) mentioned the evidences of those who said those sayings, then declared the correct saying with its evidences from the Sunnah and Aathaar.

Then, he followed by a chapter, in which he mentioned the amount of Sraightening up after bowing, and the contained supplications which are provably reported about the Prophet (sallaa Allahu 'alayhi wa-sallam) with hard evidences about him.
