Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of social anxiety in a sample of secondary school students.

In order to collect the data, the researcher prepared a social anxiety scale consisted of (14) paragraphs, through a random sample consisted of 220 students from Students of the first grade secondary school in directorate of education east of Khan Younis Governorate .

The results of the study showed that: - The general level of social anxiety was average with a relative weight (64.20%) - There were statistically significant differences depending on the gender variable, in favor of female students.

- There were statistically significant differences depending on the variable of specialization, in favor of scientific specialization.

-There were statistically significant differences according to the variable of scholastic achievement, for the benefit of students who have an estimated achievement (70%) or less.
