This research paper deals with the environmental issues which threaten the Mediterranean area, illustrating the main issues that the area suffers from because of the dominated economic and social dynamic.

The Mediterranean area is considered to be a watery way for the commercial traffic, a source of water supplies and a good place for the industrial as well as the touristic institutions.

These things make it one of the polluted and threatened environments in the world This study shows that the relationship between the issue of environment and security in the Mediterranean Area is linked to the deep connection between the environmental problems in the area and the affairs of stability and quarrels between nation and its impact on social and individual security in the different fields that including economical, social, political and even cultural ones.
