The objective of the paper is to investigate the problems that face female tour guides in Egypt to assure their empowerment.
The results obtained from the analysis of questionnaires for travel agencies and female tour guides assures the empowerment of women in the field of tourism especially in tour guidance.
The paper reveals that the problems faced by female tour guides in their career are not serious obstacles that prevent their work.
Nevertheless, women in tour guidance had proven competency which might enable tour agencies to rely on them.
