Abstract EN

The current study aimed to know the level of emotional intelligence, In a sample of patients with blood pressure, and the study sought to know the differences in the level of emotional intelligence attributed to the variable sex (male / female) and also the variable duration of the disease (less than 10 years / more than 10 years).

To achieve the objectives of the study was the use of the measure of emotional intelligence prepared by researchers.

Where it was applied to a sample survey has resulted in this survey the appropriateness of the scale for the purposes of study, n the baseline study based on the descriptive approach, an intentional sample of blood pressure patients (77) was applied.

The data were collected and analyzed statistically based on the SPSS system using the following tests: (T) for independent samples, arithmetic mean, Alpha-Cronbach coefficient) The study resulted in the following results: 1- There is an average level of emotional intelligence in the study sample.

2- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of emotional intelligence attributed to the gender variable (male / female) in the total sample.

3- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of emotional intelligence attributed to variable duration of injury (less than 10 years / more than 10 years).
