Abstract EN

The present study aims to examine the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership stylesand to identify level of emotional intelligence and leadership styles at Jordanian banks.

The study's sample consists of (390) employees that will help answering the study's questions.Besides, the researcher developed a questionnaire aiming at measuringemotional intelligence dimensions (self-awareness, selfmanagement, social awareness and relation management) and leadership styles level.

Moreover, some statistical techniques were used for testing the hypotheses and answering the study's questions.

The most important findings and conclusions of the research are: The arithmetic mean of the estimates of employees at Jordanian banks towards emotional intelligenceand leadership styles dimensions were moderate.

Regression results indicate that there is statistically significant effect for emotional intelligence onleadership styles at Jordanian banks.

Besides, social awareness influence came first concerning the size of the effect.

The most leadership style used at Jordanian banks is transactional leadership style.
