Abstract EN

After occupation, Algeria knows a wave of private and official travels done by famous as artists, painters writers, intellectuals and officials political, religious and special delegate even amateurs of travels and discovering, Theses travellers has written theirs trips in travelogue, motion picture of journeys, rapport of travel drawing table, rough drawing, drama, and all of these ones reveal Algerian society and attract the readers of metropolis who becomes impatient to know the other.

The Cultural Centers and towns as Laghouat and Biskrawere the preferred destinations for the French travellers who come to explore them and emerged through adiverse writings which introduce the local community and the city's landmarks.

These writings had an impact on the tourism of the settlement its cities cultural features and cultural heritage, and on that we focused in this presentation.

The desert tourism exploring the importance of desert and the emergence of scientific studies and official missions and individual trips including studies of officers as Daumas, Trumelet, Cavaignac and others.

For some people desert represented fear and admiration while others give a projection of the new world, others linked these explorations with discovering the new world and some others represented animage of relaxation, fun hunting trips deer and ostrich hunting which was organized with the Arab cavalry, Also archeology played an important role in tourism attractions like l’ksours and desert cities that flourished in the economic life as Biskra and Laghouat.
