Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of A Sensory Integration Strategies Training Program in Reducing Sensory Problems Among Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The study consisted of three males and one female with Autism Spectrum Disorder, with ages (6,6,6,5 years old), whom they were deliberately selected from the Amman Autism Center.

To achieve the study goals, a training program consist of sensory integration activities was designed for 8 weeks, using the single case research approach A-B-A Design.

To measure the improvement in the performance of children, the study used a standard assessment child sensory profile-2(CSP-2) which consists of 9 sections before and after the program.

The results indicated a significant improvement on the 4 children.

The improvement on the first child included the (movement, body position and visual) sections.

The improvement on the second child included the (movement, body position, visual and conduct) sections, while the improvement was on the (touch) section for the third child, and on (movement, body position, touch, auditory and conduct) for the fourth child.

The most important recommendation of the study is to perform further studies in the field of sensory integration disorder in children with autism spectrum disorder in all aspects, especially the independency.
