Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the factors of spread the phenomenon of school dropouts in the schools of the Al-Jama’a district and the ways to reduce it from the point of view of school principals.

The study used the descriptive analytical method.

The sample of the study consisted of all school principals in the Education Directorate of the Al-Jama’a district in Jordan, who amounted to (65) male and female school principals.

The results of the study showed that the factors leading to the phenomenon of school dropouts in the schools of the Al-Jama’a district were medium, and there were no statistically significant differences to reduce the phenomenon of school dropouts in the schools of the Al-Jama’a district from the point of view of school principals due to the variables of gender, academic qualification, and years of experience.

The study recommended that supervisory committees should study the social and economic situation of the students and provide material and moral assistance in order to reduce the dropout phenomenon among them.
