Abstract EN

Values were of great importance in the research and studies of the world in terms of quantitative and technical acceleration of knowledge, which brought a shadow over the value system of the individual and society, and this system has become subject to change because of the complexity of the sources affecting them, and values are responsible for guiding human behavior and judging the commitment of the individual Social norms and human standards in the field in which they live, which are closely related to social studies because human-centered and its interaction with the surrounding environment and specifically the social values that reflect this interaction.

This study aimed to identify the knowledge of teachers of social studies of the methods of teaching values and how they practice these methods in instilling social values from their point of view.

The study reached a number of recommendations, including: • Training courses for teachers in the methods of teaching values and focus on social values because they are the basis for building a stable and healthy society.

The sample of the study was chosen by simple random sampling method, where (250) male and female teachers were selected, which is (20%) of the study population.
