Computing and network capacity have seen dramatic enhancements in Sudan during the 1990s and 2000s.
These technical advances have impacted the technical capacity and core banking systems in the banking sector.
In this paper, the former manager (1997 - 2015) of the Computer and IT administration of the Sudanese French Bank presents his personal account of customizing the hardware and software systems of the bank to accommodate these technical advances.
This paper documents the replacement and upgrade of the two core banking systems that operated within the bank.
The author concludes the paper with his vision for the future of banking technology in Sudan.
