The aim of the research is to analyze the returnrisk of the investment decisions taken in the investment portfolios within the insurance companies through the use of the deductive and inductive methods within the economic analysis.
The aim of the research is to rationalize the investment decision making process in the Iraqi insurance company and subject them to an analysis (risk - return) to achieve a certain level of economic efficiency in the company, and subjected to analysis (risk - return) to achieve a certain level of economic efficiency in the company.
This research was based on the hypothesis that the failure of the decision-making process of investment to the analysis (risk-return) lead to investmentdecisions are inefficient and this research enables to analyze the investment portfolio of the Iraqi public insurance company and identify trends and causes the deformity.
