Abstract EN

This study is a modest contribution to the study of the theory of caliphate in Islamic political thought in terms of the origin and development of the caliphate, and the statement of the theory of caliphate among Islamic sects and schools in both substantive and formative terms.

It also refers to the proponents and opponents of Islamic doctrines on the theory of caliphate and criticizing and correcting some misconceptions about the return to the Islamic caliphate system by force of arms, because Islam came in the affairs of governance with general principles applicable to all time and place.

Islam does not specify or impose a certain system fixed for all times and places, and also that the caliphate system is humanly excellent.

The result of the diligence of the companions and the circumstances experienced by the Islamic community, and because one of the characteristics of Islam that it came with fixed provisions in the original aspects, and changing in the sub-areas, to fit with the lives and developments of people.
