English Abstract
This research aims to identify the nature of United Nations Organizations (UNOs) work in managing their human resources, specifically the volunteers, from volunteers’ point of view, to shed light on the existing strengths and weaknesses and thus give a general picture of the volunteers' evaluation of these systems to provide their recommendations how to improve the existing system.
Also, this research aims to study the impact of the personal characteristics of volunteers on the development of their skills and ability to meet the requirements of work.
The research examined local volunteers who worked for the UNV program in Gaza Strip as a case study for the main purpose of the research.
The study population included all volunteers who worked during the last five years (70) volunteers and the distribution of (70) questionnaire to the entire target group for a comprehensive study and the number of (53) questionnaires were valid for statistical analysis, (75.7%) response.
The data was analyzed statistically using SPSS.
The researcher used the model of the integration of young people to participate in volunteering in 2018 to achieve the goal of research.
The descriptive analytical method was used to reach the results of the research and answer its question.
The results of the statistical analysis showed several findings, the most important of which are the study variables: satisfaction, career path, availability of job opportunities, availability of skills, and competitive advantages of volunteers are important factors that have a significant impact on the institutions that hire volunteers in their different departments.
The results showed that the objectives of the volunteers who are working in the UNV program are different.
This raises the need for the establishment of a strong volunteer management policy to help organizations increase the effectiveness of volunteers in performing their tasks by providing them with all possible means to build their skills future vacancies.
The study recommended benefiting from qualified volunteers with outstanding performance by linking the various institutions to find job opportunities for them to increase the efficiency of volunteering.
