This research aims at revealing the effectiveness of The Mediated Instruction Strategy(MIT) in Prober Thinking for the Second Year Intermediate Female Students.

To address the research's aim, the researcher has developed the following one null hypothesis: (Statistically, there is no significant difference at the level ( ) between the average scores of the experimental group who have studied according to (Mediated Instruction Strategy(MIT)) and between the average level students in the control group who have studied according to the normal way in test of prober thinking .

To test hypothesis, the following steps have been taken: Choosing quasi-experimental design with partial control of a two equal groups of a post-test to measure the processing and analyzing of bioinformation skills.The research concentrates on second stage girl pupils in intermediate and secondary schools ( morning studies ) which belong to the public Directory of Al-Qadisiya Education/ Al-Diwaniya city for the academic year - .The researches uses the experimental design of equal groups which includes two groups : the experimental and the control group .

A sample is chosen which is "School of AL-Rahma for Girls".

The sample comprises ( ) girl pupil divided randomly into two groups : one of them is tested randomly by lot to represent the experimental group which comprises ( ) girl pupil taught according to Mediated instruction (MIT) ; the other chosen to represent the control group which comprises ( ) girl pupils taught according to the usual conventional.

The two groups were equalized by The variables of (age, intelligence, background, and previous achievement of biology .Specifying three chapters ( , , ) from the syllabus in biology for the second year intermediate students and preparing the behavioral objectives for these chapters that include ( ) behavioral objectives, Preparing ( ) teaching plans for the two groups of research.

The researcher has studied by herself the experimental group according to (MIT) and also studied the control group according to the usual conventional , The researcher prepared prober thinking , which consisted of ( ) multi-choice It is divided into three main skills according to the classification of (Aa'asara, ) is the skill of understanding the concept, the skill of interpretation of information, and the skill of applying the principles.

And verified the face and construction validity, and extracted the coefficient of difficulty and discrimination and effectiveness of its alternatives.

The Reliability coefficient was found using the Kuder-Richardson- equation was ( ).

The research has been applied in the academic year ( - ), the second semester for ( ) weeks .The results have been statistically analyzed by using (SPSS) program and (Microsoft Excel).

The results show a significant superiority for the experimental group students who have used (Mediated Instruction Strategy) in prober thinking while the control group students present low rates.

In light of the above results, the researcher has recommended In light of the findings, the researcher came out with a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
