New 1,3-oxazepine derivatives (V-XIX) were synthesized from the reaction of Schiff-bases (I) derived from certain hydrazide of 3-nitrophthalic anhydride and three types of anhydrides (phthalic anhydride (II), naphthalic anhydride (III) and 3-nitrophthalic an hydride(IV) ) (1-nitroisobenzofuran-1,3-dione) respectively .
