Abstract EN

The concept of corporate social responsibility is of great interest to most writers and thinkers, as it describes the social contract between business organizations and their community; thus, they agree in adopting this concept to fulfill their role in development, without neglecting their responsibility towards society, as a result, specialized international organizations are interested in promoting the concept, encouraging countries to consider it as a key factor in their programs.

In this regard, Algeria is among the countries that have shown a great interest to this concept by conducting several initiatives to support and achieve sustainable development, through the adoption of laws that protect workers' rights, consumers and preserve the environment, and signed a number of international agreements in the framework of the strengthening of social development programs and promoting human rights.

However, little effort has been made in terms of social responsibility within Algerian economic organizations.
