Abstract EN

The aim of our study is to identify the factors that can affect the amount of natural gas consumed in the Algerian regions, this in the objective to identify the specificities which can distinguish each region of the other in the consumption of this energy, it is this which has made us integrate in our study these variables taken of the theoretical side to explain this phenomenon, these explanatory variables are the temperatures recorded in each region, the number of users of gas, as well as the quantity produced of the electrical energy, where we adopted in our study applied on the technique of principal components analysis to detect the relationship of correlation between the variables used and the technique of panel data to study The effect of these variables on a variable that we want to explain, this is done through a sample of four regions for the period extending from January 2007 until December 2017.

The results obtained by the analysis of main components show that the relationship between the variable that we want to explain and the temperature is an inverse relationship and identical to the reality.

As regards the relationship between a variable to explain and other explanatory variables, has proved that it is a positive relationship and the independence between the explanatory variable has also been demonstrated, that is what makes the model used in our study based on a basic rule, which is the independence of the explanatory variables.

It is known that the data of the panel contain several models in the interpretation of the phenomenon .

We can say that there is a compatibility of the results of the empirical study with those of the theoretical part.
