This study aims at the contribution of the family to the growth of knowledge in the child .

w'hich reflects positively 01 his school life.

The study included a sample of 100 children randomly distributed to different neighborhoods .

trying to escapi from reality and feeling a sense of work in order to improve the role of the family < especially the role of father and mother in th« process of cognitive growth.

The study resulted in the following conclusions and suggestions: - The growth of knowledge of child is related to the social status.

- Friction of the child in his family affects him positively in his cognitive development especially in the girls.

The family must stimulate the child’s motivation.
