Abstract EN

The current study seeks to answer the following major question: Does the use of algebra in teaching of Mathematics for elementary stage pupils reduce the learning difficulties and increase their achievement in the subject, and does their use achieve the minimum cognitive goals of knowledge, understanding, and application according to the Bloom's classification? To achieve this objective, we used an experimental design by dividing the total sample in to two groups.

The middle school level was concerned with the second year level and was divided into four groups (two experimental and two control groups) with a total of 164 pupils.

In addition, a test was conducted in fractions, operations, quadrants and their multiple properties (pre and post measurement).

The study found eight hypotheses that showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of both experimental and control groups in the total achievement process, and the levels of cognitive learning achievements (recall, understanding, and practice) according to Bloom's classification.

The results of the study were analyze dosing T-Test.

The study conclude duchy results of which the most important was the increase of the average performance of the experimental group in both groups who learned the unit contents by using the hand weights compared to the performance of the control group who studied the same units in the normal way relying on direct post- test.

The differences were statistically significant at the level of =.0.0& =.0.., except for one hypothesis, which was related to the application for the second partial group, that was not realized.

Raya Yat to raise the level of achievement of students, and in the light of the study made a number of recommendations that contribute to improving the teaching of mathematics methods in the basic stages of education.

This indicates the improvement in the pupils' performance, and confirms the positive impact of the use of hand tools in studying Mathematics to raise the level of pupils' achievement.

So, in light of the present study, some recommend actions were made that contribute to improving methods of teaching Mathematics at the middle level of education
