Plato's statement is often echoed on the tongues of those interested in reading: "People read a people that does not starve or enslave." In this intervention, I would like to talk about the role of libraries in educating peoples and their contribution to spreading awareness through the provision of books, encouragement of reading and dissemination of culture and intellectual awareness.
