Abstract EN

The core idea of this paper is to explore the variables affecting the total application degree of civil association's strategic planning practices.

Data were collected via face to face structured interviews with a simple random sample of 97 heads of civil associations in the rural of Sharkia governorate.

Data collection took place from the beginning of January to the end of February 2017.

The data were analyzed by percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted average, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient, regression (step-wise).

Findings indicated that: (1) The most of heads of civil associations had a high level for total knowledge degree of civil association's strategic planning practices (72.2 %), (2)The most of studied civil associations had a middle level for total application degree of civil association's strategic planning practices (54.6%).

(3) Stepwise regression results showed that only four variables (the heads' knowledge of strategic planning properties at plan making , the education years, the association age , the heads' knowledge of strategic planning steps) had significant influences on the total application degree of civil association's strategic planning practices, these variables together explained (53.5%) of variance in total application degree of civil association's strategic planning practices.

Several recommendations were presented for improvement the total application degree of civil association's strategic planning practices
