Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the constitutional and legal work of the Independent Election Commission, and to identify the role of the Independent Election Commission in the parliamentary electoral process management in Jordan in 2013.

The study concluded that the formation of the Independent Election Commission was a new stage in the parliamentary election administration, the existence of the Independent Election Commission to the management of the parliamentary elections and contributed directly to the promotion of integrity, transparency and impartiality in the parliamentary elections, the study recommended the amendment of the Jordanian Constitution so as to extend the functionality of the Independent Election Commission to include all electoral processes in Jordan, and are holding training and awareness programs and exchange of experiences between the Independent Election Commission and among the Arab and foreign countries.
