Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the problems of the developed religious curriculum at the level of primary school from the viewpoint of female teachers and supervisors in Riyadh.

To achieve the research objective, the researcher applied a descriptive method and created a questionnaire as a research tool.

The researcher administered the questionnaire and selected the study sample randomly from (2233) teachers of religious courses in Riyadh.

The participants of the study were (165) teachers selected from the teachers of religious science at the primary level at the administration of education in Riyadh, as well as all the (77) supervisors of religious science courses in Riyadh in the second semester of the academic year of 14351436/ AH.

Based on the statistical analysis, the study revealed several results.

First, the weak participation of female teachers and supervisors in setting the aims of the curriculum, which reduces the motivation to achieve them.

Second, the content of the curriculum in the developed religious sciences does not belong to many issues related to female students.

Third, the teaching overload of the teacher weakens her ability to implement effective teaching methods.

Fourth, the lack of appropriate educational aids to implement the activities of the developed religious curriculum in the school.

Fifth, a large number of female students in the classroom prevents the use of the appropriate assessment method.

The study suggests a number of recommendations.

The most important one is that teachers and supervisors should be involved in setting the course goals.

In addition, the objectives should be written in a way that contains knowledge, skills and cognitive domains.

In addition, the distribution of these goals should be distributed equally through the units of the course.

Finally, issues of female students should be included in the developed courses and the content should be exciting.
