The aim of this research is, to explore the authentic materials approach and demonstrate how it may be used in the teaching of vocabulary in the EFL classroom.
The research is divided into three parts.
The first part tackles vocabulary, its importance^ and vocabulary teaching strategies.
The second part defines authentic materials, their significance and their effects on vocabulary acquisition and other language domains.
Finally, the third part proposes an authentic materials-based teaching framework that can be used in.
the acquisition of vocabulary in the EFL classroom.
