French colonization impact on dismantling the socio-economic structure and blockingdevelopment in Algeria between 1919-1945 : (historicaland social study)‎

Abstract EN

This study examines the European settlement policy in Algeria and the mechanisms of social and economic fragmentation of Algerian society since it landed in Algeria in 1830-1962.

The French colonial administration quickly attempted to change the social and economic pattern of the Algerians in a different way.

From expropriation of lands, fixed and movable property, displacement of the Algerian population to the interior, mountains and deserts, and bringing the Europeans from different countries to “fill the void” and enable them to provide financial and material support and security for the purpose of weighing the balance.

European demographics at the expense of the population growth of the Algerians and they did not hesitate to rephrase the pattern of production and consumption commensurate with the civilization of the new intruder, which affected the social cohesion and artificial crafts in depth because of the colonial policy that relied on the robbery intimidation and absconding and diminished the capabilities of Algerians and began the process of internal migration to cities and foreign East and west to France to secure a living, which will open the eyes of the Algerians on the horizon of a new struggle to confront the policy of impoverishment and disruption of development, which made the colonizer to make Algeria a consumer market and the source of raw materials
