Abstract EN

We have studied the results of seismic , geochemical surveys and the geological borehole and surface data of the upper Paleozoic in Euphrates basin in order to determine its structure and get to know depositional cycles experienced by ,and the appointment of thickness and depths of Markada variety placed representative upper Paleozoic in this basin Based on the preformed studies the results shouted that Euphrates basin during the period of upper Paleozoic exposed to very high tectonic effects ,caused huge clefts ,in addition to three leaking depositional cycles ,represented by decline movement (displacement) sea flotation (exceeding ) and also exposed to thermal variations.

the last factors leads to verity of the oil potential of the Markada variety represented by upper Paleozoic of Euphrates basin.
