Abstract EN

Behavioral geography is a branch that examines the individuals, through their relationship with the land.

In this regard, this article will try to use a behavioral approach in order to evaluate the interaction between humanity and the environment in “Dorsale Calcaire” (the Rif mountains of northeastern Morocco).

This approach has allowed us a much better idea about the spatial behavior of farmers, which has experienced a remarkable change after the expansion and extension of cannabis cultivation in the region.

This latter is characterised by the prevalence of lithosols which must be exploited in a rational way to ensure the renewal of natural resources, as was the case before.

Today it is currently under strong pressure
