Abstract EN

The industrial sector is an important factor in the economic development process.

Therefore, Algeria is seeking to develop it in order to increase its contribution to GDP and to improve the product from the local to the global level ; The purpose of this research is to identify the stages of the industrial sector development in Algeria since independence and to determine the means to develop this sector given the economic dependence of hydrocarbons.

We concluded that the industrial development stages contain successive industrial strategies but are neither balanced nor integrated with the lack of effective institutions to plan and monitor the implementation of these industrial strategies.
