Abstract EN

As its title indicates, the present paper attempts to investigate the language planning question in Palestine as well as the development of a Palestinian language education policy for foreign language teaching.

In fact, after 1948 the Jordanian curriculum was in force in the West Bank, and the Egyptian curriculum in the Gaza Strip, even during Israeli occupation.

Only very recently were attempts starting to be made in order to define an independent language policy.

Accordingly , this paper will endeavour to shed light on the educational policy meant for foreign languages teaching.
